Our trips offer an incredibly diverse experience. The volunteering itself will keep you on your toes, but there is so much more to do on your placement. We offer a great deal of optional excursions, but also the freedom to go and travel independently around your placement as well as the guidance to help you do so. Activities you can take part in include: bungee jumping, shark cage diving, wildlife experiences and much more.
Each destination offers its own unique opportunity. We will do our best to give you the flexibility in dates, durations and activities to tailor make the experience you desire. How about combining a sports and non-sports volunteer project? Or how about extending your trip once you’re in-country? These options are all available, as are many more.

We are committed to having our programmes genuinely benefit the local communities economically and socially, whilst minimising any negative environmental impact they may have. We therefore ensure money goes directly into local services like food, accommodation, training and local staff. We also comfortably blend in the local setup and have all the necessary local staff, community buy-in and understanding of the context and sensitivities which enables a genuine and healthy relationship between all stakeholders involved.

Our accommodation facilities are all basic, yet comfortable and with our staff on hand to help at all times, our volunteers can always relax at a United Through Sport base. You can rest assured that our accommodation is kept up to a high standard of cleanliness and comfort and we take the safety of our volunteers extremely seriously. All accommodation is completely secure, with security guards employed at all bases and our co-ordinators living on site to assist whenever necessary.
